7 rulesI follow to keep my body at near zero levels of visceral fat: Visceral fat is the most dangerous fat on your body. It's linked to hormone disruption, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and reduced brain function. Recently, I did a DEXA scan that showed I have closer to ZERO levels of visceral fat, To achieve this, I follow 7 specific rules, and in tomorrow's newsletter, I go into detail on each one. Workouts are painful. Controlling your diet takes effort. Building a business is stressful and uncertain. Self improvement is not about feeling good. It's about embracing the fact that there will be pain.

10 hours before bed stop drinking coffee. 3 hours before bed stop eating. 2 hours before bed stop drinking water. 1 hour before bed stop looking at screens. This is called the 10-3-2-1 method for better sleep.

Eat the same meals. Do the same workouts. Sleep and wake up at the same times. Your body craves consistency more than variety.

An underrated health hack is living in a walkable neighborhood. Walking to get coffee, go to the gym, and go work makes it easy to get steps in without thinking abou it.

The best snack for fat loss is apples. They rank near the top of the satiety index meaning. They're 86% water & under 100 calories. The fiber in apples slows digestion, feeds good gut bacteria, and keeps hunger hormones in check. Apples are the best snack when cutting. Eat them.

Imagine where you could be 90 days from now. Kevin came in wanting to feel younger, move better, and have the energy to keep up with his little one. In 12 weeks, he dropped 32 lbs, trimmed over 3 inches off his waist, boosted his energy, sharpened his focus, reversed his metabolic age by 6 years, and even ran his fastest 100m since high school. Today, he feels stronger, faster, and more alive than ever.

When you skip workouts you get less energy. When you do workouts you get more energy. Funny how that works.
I've been in a physical rut the past few months. Busy with work, constant travel, skipping workouts and phoning it in when I did make it to the gym. Then I came across a line from @CoachDanGo: motion creates energy, not the other way around. So I started forcing myself to do one or two workouts a day, minimum. Worked like a charm. Feeling like myself again. Highly recommend it.

If Apple ships a screenless fitness tracker, Whoop is in serious trouble. Apple Watch is already one of the best for health tracking. Add in their ecosystem and it makes it a no brainer.
NEW: Apple is developing a screenless fitness tracker to rival Whoop.

Bonus: If they release a screenless tracker without a membership it’s a no brainer.

I don't need my meals to look pretty. I don't need them to look like they're plated by a Michelin chef. I need them to have the right calories, protein, fiber, and micronutrients while tasting good. Other than that, everything else is a distraction.
I’m once again reminding you to chop up some potatoes, cook with ground beef, onions, and garlic. Add veggies and whatever spices you want. Once complete will have created a meal that’s high protein, fiber, and micronutrients while tasting delicious.
