We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sherman Lewis.
Lewis, a first-team All-American in 1963, served as an assistant coach at MSU before a decorated NFL coaching career that included four Super Bowl titles.
We send our deepest condolences to the Lewis family.

The 2026 CFB Coaching Staff Ratings are now available!
No surprise at #1: Indiana and Curt Cignetti sit at +5.1 Standard Wins, over a full win higher than any other staff. They are the best, and it's not very close.
Oklahoma State is rebuilding with last year's preseason #1 staff from North Texas, led by Eric Morris, who validated their lofty ranking with a stellar season.
A couple surprises: Mississippi State at #4 (powered by new coordinators) and Navy, led by Brian Newberry, at #7.
