There’s something ironic about some coaches yelling "Same ol' Same ol' #!?%!".
Often, the coaches who say it most are the ones keeping it alive.
When our actions and attitude don’t change, our results won’t either.
Complaints and finger pointing don’t break cycles. Choices do.
If you’re tired of where you are, stop fostering what keeps you there.
Lead. Every single day.
Be the reason your program continually improves, not the reason it lacks hope.
You are why.
So, choose to feed change. Feed effort. Feed growth.
We got this.

Here’s something I believe about high school and college sports:
The players win games.
Adults lose them... when we don’t prepare them.
Our job isn’t to control every moment. Our job is to get young people ready for the moments.
The pressure.
The situations.
The setbacks.
The stage.
When we prepare them well with knowledge, skills, character, and confidence, we don’t have to rescue them.
We can trust them.
Leadership shows up when preparation meets the moment.

Geneva football defeated Batavia, 56-49, Friday night at Bulldog Stadium. Kane County sports reporter Matt McGowan breaks down the high-scoring action.
Hot throws happen fast, so we’re working on getting our body ready just as quickly.
Catch it, get the hip aligned to the hot man, and rip it. Then we move to the next look while keeping the chest up, shoulders level, and feet underneath us.
The part I want you guys noticing is that every throw still finishes square.
Being quick does not mean we throw our technique away.
If we can stay accurate and controlled when everything speeds up, we give ourselves a much better chance when we see it on Friday night.

Take a breath.
Hey, some days the skills just aren’t there. Some days nothing comes easy.
That’s okay.
We’ve got something better.
We’ve got heart.
Heart keeps us steady.
Heart keeps us in the game long enough...
Long enough for grit to do what grit does. Takes over!
Grit doesn’t panic.
Grit doesn’t quit.
Grit finds a way to win the dang thing.
Trust the work. Trust each other.
Win for your brothers!
We got this!

Wrs- Want more targets? Create separation.
Most young and inexperienced QBs don’t throw guys open.
They throw to guys who ARE open.
When you create space, you create confidence for your young Qb.
4 important Wr tools:
Speed/Quickness - Threaten them vertically. Make them backpedal and get out of it.
Patience - Don’t rush the route. Set them up, then break.
Explosion - In and out of cuts. 0 to 100. No wasted steps.
Winning Angles - Stem them, stack them, good angles out of breaks and finish through the ball.
These 4 tools win 3rd downs. They score points. They win games.
Targets aren't given.
They're earned.

#Bears QB Tyson Bagent is dealing with a concussion and is in the NFL’s concussion protocol, sources say.
With Caleb Williams likely out with a hamstring injury, Case Keenum could be the starter vs the #Eagles.
