it's really fucking hard to find competent engineers.
i've interviewed about 20 cs majors who claim to be experts at typescript and only 3 of them have been able to explain what the purpose of useState is (not trolling).

useState is a hook in React, which is only a specific Javascript framework among many others. Not all TypeScript developers necessarily have React experience.

They: 3 years. We didn't monetize for the first 2, and then went 0 to $1M in a year.
Me: why didn't you monetize for the first 2?
They: because we wanted to raise VC money, so needed to show rapid growth, and growing from 0 to $1M in a year looks much better.

Not really. But it does seem bad to me that companies can't trust a third party to give them a technical candidate assessment and stick only to culture fit questions
Triplebyte tried this and companies essentially just reinterview the candidate immediately after triplebyte does
