One day’s time (and 60 votes) is required between each vote. Leaders are targeting mid-next week for the final vote.

Today’s Senate's sweeping, overwhelming, and bipartisan 74-24 vote a to open debate on the Protect College Sports Act shows that stabilizing college sports is a priority that unites Americans, and one that transcends our political and geographical divides. I'm truly grateful to all the stakeholders who have come together to help make the case for this great American institution — and to all those who have improved the bill throughout the process. I look forward to a robust debate in the Senate, then on to the House with the Senate's strong backing, and ultimately to the President’s desk!

For the record, I was not talking specifically about @GoBearcatsFB - they actually kept this conversation within the @Big12Conference family, and the Bearcats handled the situation with appropriate discretion. The frustration on our end was the ignorant and uninformed statements made publicly by other conference peers - coaches and administrators - before they had opportunity to understand the facts and how we were handling the situation. Those individuals were being petty and only wanted to throw shade on our program, the success we are having, and the personal integrity of me and the rest of our leadership. I stand by what I said…we took names, and have not forgotten about what was said and done. We will handle it on the field!
