6 years ago today, KuCoin was hacked for about $281M. Some sources date it Sept 26 because of time zones, and loss estimates range from $275M to $285M. The caption and notes say this. Is this a coincidence? Both @bitget and @kucoincom get hacked same day? September should be renamed into "Hacktember" at this point

🇰🇵 Bitget’s CEO says North Korea is “very likely” behind $351.6 million hack. Gracy Chen said investigators found IPs matching VPNs used by a DPRK group, and that the attack pattern “looks very much like what the North Korean team did before.” On-chain researchers have already tied part of the XRP trail to prior Lazarus-linked jobs. The attackers didn’t steal private keys or fake user withdrawals. They broke into a backend wallet system, spoofed transaction data, and used Bitget’s own authorization process to move funds out of hot and warm wallets. Cold wallets were untouched. Affected assets included XRP, ETH, USDT, USDC, AVAX, BNB and USDT0 across Ethereum, XRPL, Avalanche, BNB Chain and Arbitrum.
