Colorado just lost another major tech headquarters. Optiv Security is moving from Denver to Kansas, following Palantir’s departure earlier this year. While hundreds of Colorado employees will remain remote, the company’s headquarters, executives and future investment decisions are leaving our state. KNOW THE FACTS on SB26-135. This bill will hurt Coloradans in the long run and cost $7,400 per person in taxes. The bill lets the state keep your TABOR refunds and retain $1.1 billion in surplus revenue. Democrats say it is for the classroom, when only a small portion would help K-12 and teacher programs. One of the quieter yet significant bills I co-sponsored this session is now law: SB26-088. It ensures increased funding and proper oversight for maintaining memorials and monuments on State Capitol grounds and in Lincoln Veterans’ Memorial Park.

IT staff reported to one of our senators that the servers received about 86,000 emails in one day regarding this disastrous bill.
