I mentioned this last season; it’s not just the amount of injuries, or the fact that it’s the best players… it’s the inability for them to return quickly. Feels like anytime someone hits the blue tent it’s a guaranteed 2+ weeks out.

Been hearing this for 3 seasons under Quinn.

OL hasn’t been terrible, but this is a Jayden Daniels stat.

Since Dan Quinn took over as Washington’s head coach, his defenses have given up 25+ points 21 times, and 30+ points 14 times. Not good.

They are already ahead of where they were in 2025 injury wise. I didn’t think that would be possible.

Thoughts on today’s loss @ Dallas: • 0-2 and 0-2 in the division. We knew this schedule was brutal, but it’s no excuse. • Jayden was playing lights out before the injury. It goes to show how dependent this team is on him. 3rd straight year where they live and die by #5. • The defense is still a mess and can’t cover anything. Middle of the field was wide open, especially in the redzone. Not enough pressure on Dak. Still can’t buy a turnover. • They had a few horrible calls against them. The Terry OPI and then the Dyami no TD call which made zero sense. • I liked what I saw out of Rachaad White. • It’s getting late early for Drew Stevens. Seems like he’s just the next 50/50 kicker they’ve brought in. Don’t know why that’s been such a tough spot to just be average at. • Lots of points were left on the field. Missed TD to Burkes, missed TD to Terry, and the missed kick. That’s 17 layup points. • Don’t really know what to say about the Jayden injury. It’s such a unique and unusual injury. He missed 4 weeks with it last year to include the bye. I imagine he misses at least that and probably more.

They are just never gonna get the kicker figured out are they?

I think this is a big game for Dan Quinn. He’s 7-7 vs. the NFC East and those wins have been against the likes of Daniel Jones X2, Russell Wilson, Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee, Jaxson Dart, and Trey Lance. This is one that he needs more than anyone. Can’t come out flat on Sunday.

Bo Nix in a similar spot as Jayden; on the road against a divisional opponent with a first time play caller. But Jayden didn’t look anywhere this bad.

I’m curious if they regret sitting Treylon Burkes yesterday. I feel like they missed the height, especially facing a defense where big plays are going to come at a premium. I’d bet he’s up the rest of the way.

Gotta think next weeks game at Dallas is one of the bigger Washington/Dallas matchups in a while right? Loser is 0-2 and 0-2 in the division. Can’t remember a week 2 game with so much on the line.

Maybe it wasn’t in the game plan, or maybe the Eagles just focused on it, but when McLaurin only gets 4 targets all game, historically this team does not win those games.
