Every corner of Ethereum, connected. A coordination layer enabling atomic, synchronous cross-L2 transactions. No bridges. No shared sequencers.

Ethereum
Ethereum doesn’t have a rollup problem. It has a coordination problem. Compose Network is fixing that with synchronous composability.

5/ That’s why Compose aligns perfectly with Ethereum’s long-term vision. Not to replace it, but to complete it. Bringing Ethereum back together. Rollups, finally in sync.

4/ The result? Ethereum grows without fragmentation. A network of rollups that remain sovereign… …yet act in sync. Composability returns. UX improves. Trust stays Ethereum-level.

3/ While bridges move assets, Compose connects state. It enables atomic transactions across rollups, inside Ethereum’s own trust model. No wrapped tokens. No waiting rooms. Just Ethereum-native interoperability.

2/ It stays true to the Ethereum ethos: ✅ Open participation ✅ Credible neutrality ✅ Trust-minimized coordination ✅ Rollup sovereignty Compose is not a new empire. It’s a shared language between city-states.

1/ Compose doesn’t reinvent Ethereum. It unlocks what Ethereum was always meant to become. No new chains. No new trust assumptions. Just Ethereum validators coordinating across rollups.

Ethereum has always evolved without abandoning its core principles. From ETH1 → ETH2 → Rollups → Composability (soon). Each phase built on the same foundation: decentralization, sovereignty, and coordination.

Sequencing stays with the rollups. Composability emerges after execution.

Most Ethereum interoperability solutions rely on a Shared Sequencer. Compose takes a different path. Rollups are not eager to give up their sequencing, as it's central to their autonomy and a primary source of revenue. A Shared Sequencer orders transactions before execution. The Compose Shared Publisher synchronizes rollups after execution, without controlling them. 👇

Ethereum didn’t scale quietly. It multiplied. From the first L2 in 2021 to 150+ by 2025. More L2s mean more choice, more throughput, more innovation. But also more fragmentation. Liquidity splits. UX breaks. Composability disappears. Compose Network brings it back in 2026. Sync composability across Ethereum and rollups, as if they were one chain.

In 2025, we defined the primitives. Concrete designs for atomic cross-rollup execution, safe coordination, and Ethereum-native settlement. The groundwork is set. Early 2026 brings the first testnet. Later, Compose moves toward mainnet as the new Ethereum coordination layer. A huge year for Ethereum and the L2s ahead.

Under the hood, this is real protocol machinery. Mailbox primitives for cross-domain contract calls, plus a two-phase commit style workflow so rollups can safely simulate, vote, and execute as one atomic bundle.

The core principle is simple: cross-rollup actions must be all-or-nothing. Compose coordinates a multi-leg transaction across rollups and only commits if every leg succeeds. If one fails, the entire flow reverts.

The architecture is intentionally Ethereum-native: Coordination and execution powered by Ethereum validators via @ssv_network’s DVT. ZK proof aggregation to settle cross-rollup flows back to L1. Built on OP Stack + Succinct for validity-proof rollups.

Compose is our answer. Instant, atomic, composable transactions across rollups, without asking rollups to give up sovereignty.

Ethereum scaled in 2025. Rollups multiplied. Throughput improved. But composability fractured across domains: isolated liquidity, fragmented apps, and users pushed into bridge-heavy UX.

Compose 2025. A “year in review” for a network announced just a few months ago. In October, we introduced Compose Network with one goal: connect every corner of Ethereum and make the L1↔L2 ecosystem feel like one chain again. 🧵
Welcome to Compose Network. A new layer connecting Ethereum’s rollups for instant, atomic interaction. Built on SSV’s validator infrastructure. Here’s everything you need to know. 🧵

3/ Every rollup in Compose gets the same execution order of messages. Deterministic. Shared. No sequencing games. This is the foundation for synchronous composability.

2/ Compose restores this missing layer with a “Universal Bridge”: a shared publisher that lets rollups submit & read cross-domain messages in a single, atomic flow.

Imagine if every DeFi Lego was stuck in its own box. That’s what we have today. With Compose, you would be able to do things like move assets from Rollup A, borrow on Rollup B, and immediately use that capital in a DeFi app on Rollup C. Entirely atomically. All or nothing. Compose Network is opening the DeFi Lego box.

What if rollups could stay independent and act like one system? That’s what the Compose Shared Publisher does: Rollups keep their own sequencers, execute in parallel, and synchronize via aggregated proofs on Ethereum. They don’t need a shared sequencer to work together. 🔸 No shared ordering. 🔸 No control layer. 🔸 Just coordination.

Shared Publishing keeps sequencers independent while a validator-run layer aggregates ZK proofs to L1 & makes synchronous, atomic cross-rollup txns possible. Not just between opted-in rollups but external rollups as well like @base or @arbitrum. @AmMuroch breaks it down. 👇

Bridges can get faster. But speed doesn’t fix the core issue: Ethereum’s rollups grew in isolation. We gained scale, and lost the ability to act as one chain. Ethereum is fragmented. Compose makes it feel like one chain again. The network, finally in sync. 🧵

Compose is redefining Synchronous Composability for Ethereum. But first, we started by actually defining it on @CoinMarketCap. What takes hours across rollups today will soon execute atomically, in one transaction. The Ethereum ecosystem, finally in sync.

Rollups speak different "languages". Every rollup emits events differently, builders maintain separate indexers, and "multi-chain logic" often means stitching together fragile off-chain systems. Ethereum needs a shared way to publish events that every rollup can rely on. 🧵

Why is interop limited to bridges & swaps? Because the most popular solutions today just can't do anything else. 😮 > Async messages (send now, land… whenever) > Intents (off-chain middlemen + huge liquidity) @AmMuroch goes into the details. 👇

But not today, Jane’s using Compose! With a simple deposit to the Compose universal bridge, her assets are represented by the ERC-7802 token contract for cross-chain use. From the web app she bridges to Rollup A and with one click she can swap on B and back to A. That’s it. Compose puts Jane at the center, clears the maze, and handles everything for her.

Jane spots an opportunity on Rollup A, but she doesn’t have the tokens she needs. And Rollup A’s DEX options aren’t exactly reliable. So she bridges to Rollup B → swaps on an established DEX → bridges back to Rollup A. Only then can she finally join the opportunity.
