Watching Messi today is like seeing the most gorgeous of sunsets. Perhaps the sun isn’t at it brightest, but as it hits the horizon it’s a glowing red that is breathlessly captivating.
I know we’re close to the end, but he doesn’t play like it. He scores the same goals from a decade ago. The ones that made you ask how someone can do that? He’s able to produce that feeling of wonder…still.
But every goal means we’re closer to the last.
Look up, the sky around you has all different colors. Red, purple, orange, yellow, blue, white…it’s beautiful. The last goodbye.

This is beyond embarrassing, it’s actually comical at this point. Look at his last 13 consecutive matches; he’s literally stat-padding against semi-pro farmers and part-time accountants. Messi’s irrecoverable decline is staring everyone right in the face. He couldn’t even handle the physicality of Ligue 1, and now he’s acting like a hero for scoring weekly against plumbers. He is completely, undeniably washed.
