Jungle training in Peru: The jungle environment cannot be simulated — its demands on the warfighter are absolute. To fight and win, warfighters must possess rigorous physical conditioning, mental resilience, and unwavering discipline. At the unit level, success requires absolute mastery of small-unit tactics, decentralized leadership, and adaptive logistics. During Exercise Southern Vanguard in Peru, U.S. Soldiers conducted field and command post training alongside Argentine, Chilean, and Peruvian counterparts.
