I think this is a little bit of a gamble but given how Mayer played in ST I think it’s a good suggestion. Better than some ideas I’ve seen floated out there.
Story's range has been down and he's been a tick below average defensively in 2025.
If anyone can pick up a 1B mitt and learn quickly, it *could* be him.
Calling up Mayer + Story at 1B could improve the team on both sides of the ball.
No idea if they'll consider.
