Sometimes the best way to design a better v2 is to make v1 fail.
Over the past week, I’ve been testing the reBot arm.
As I start designing Rowve v2, my biggest concern is chassis stability.
You can model the physics, but there’s no substitute for real-world testing. So I’m bolting the new arm onto the old chassis and deliberately finding its stability limits: slopes, soft ground, real payloads, full extension, and fast movements.
I want to see what it actually takes to tip the robot, then experiment with ballast and footprint until I understand what v2 needs to stay stable in the field.
After that, we start vibe-CADing the new chassis with GPT Astra!
But before then, expect some robot fails 🤖😵
