"my Emmett Till whistle calls Cloverfield from the seafloor
40 aches and just 1 mule, nuh uh i need 4"
nobody's putting words together like Curly Castro
"The anti-immigrant, anti-brown people sentiment is never about assimilation as it purports to be — this, like, lack of assimilation. It's about just pure, just racism on its face."

One A.M. by Diverse is the best rap album first listen i've had in a minute. a masterfully executed work in its totality, the production, raps, features, sequencing, curation, all that. Diverse's style reminds me of Cavalier somewhat.
Delane getting the first pick immediately is insane. Felix with the pressure. early returns on both offense and defense are fucking nuts! the aura is coming back
i'll always remember this album keeping me company via Soundcloud late 2016/early 2017 while working double shifts at Olive Garden. incredible stuff from Kemba.
the Stik Figa show was a celebration! his de facto birthday party and huge moment for Topeka alongside Topekan artists Yefta, Yung Bee and Maad Cxmmander. there were a ton of artists and local legends in the building. plus i smoked with a homie i hadn't seen since 2017
lotta real emotion from Stik and a lotta love in the room. there's so many talented voices that need to be heard here in the middle of the map and Stik headlines that group. seeing him perform was electric and it was a great night. go listen to COLD COMFORT right now!!
failed to mention Ontario Ray, a dope KC spitter who opened the show. his new album "A TOUGH CONVERSATION" is full of hits. ARE U? is my early favorite and had my head rocking off my spine at the show. that dude can rap!
