Fully anticipated this. I knew some would take this angle. They aren’t going to change when it drops on YouTube. Ppl can prioritize Dynamite and watch it on YouTube later. I certainly will be. When it’s released is irrelevant since it’s a taped show and releasing on YouTube for free. This whole framing comes off as exploitive of the tragedy and a means to push their usual fEd BaD agenda. Kinda gross.
Dave Meltzer on WWE still counterprogramming AEW on Wednesday:
“As of right now, WWE is still planning on airing Worlds Collide at 7PM Eastern on Wednesday against PAC’s Dynamite tribute show. I hope they reconsider. People in their own company hope they reconsider.
Ultimately, the goal is that they don’t get renewed, and the way to not get renewed is to hurt their TV ratings. I mean, will it hurt? Miniscule. But that’s why they’re doing it, in the idea of: ‘We’ll get the one hour jump on them.'”
