i've been finding it a little difficult to read books for the past few months. it's something i really want to do, and there are so many things i'd love to read about, but for some reason, i find it difficult to sit down and read for long these days. i'm not exactly sure why. maybe i have too many things constantly calling for my attention and i find it difficult to completely shut them off. or maybe i just haven't found a really good book that keeps me glued like some of the ones i've read in the past. whatever it is, i'd really love to get back to reading more often, and i'm going to make a conscious effort to do that. that probably means i'll be even less active on x. you could say i've already been a lot less active these days, but it might get worse if i'm actually going to fix this lol. if you've dealt with something similar and found a way around it, i'd really appreciate any suggestions. and also if you have a really good book recommendation, i'd like that too.

this week on variational, i got 3.5 points. you probably wouldn't believe me if i told you i did close to $580k in volume for that lol. i was mostly trying to evaluate how much variational rates volume compared to open interest and how long you actually hold your positions. and to be honest with you i've had weeks where i did less than $60k in volume and got significantly more points. the difference is those trades were more organic and i held the positions for a reasonably long time. this week i was mostly scalping, and $580k volume got me just 3.5 points. on perpl, i got 4 points + 3.4 mpoints from around $67k in volume. i'd say roughly 80% of that volume came from scalping as well because i was testing same strategy there. on perpl, every $6k in volume costs me at least $2.5 in fees. you do the math. overall, it's been a pretty dull trading week for me. you could argue market was boring. also i didn't make much progress and ended the week barely around breakeven. i paid a little too much attention to generating volume and seeing whether that would translate into more points, and clearly that didn't work out as well as i would have preferred. next week i'll switch up the strategy a bit, maybe focus more on taking good trades and holding positions longer, then share the results again. time to get back to the drawing board.

i'm probably the only one that finds this odd. whenever people talk about big airdrop's value, they almost always value them using the token's all time high instead of the price when the airdrop was actually distributed. i mean if a project distributed $10m worth of tokens at tge, and the token later did a 10x, suddenly some people starts calling it a $100m airdrop. lol its even more funny that the same token could be down 90% afterwards, and still airdrop gets measured at the absolute peak. imo the fairest way to value an airdrop is at the price people actually received it. anything after that is just the performance of the token, not the size of the drop lol. i've seen this so many times.. i guess people just want hooks for their posts 🤷‍♂️

around december last year one of my cousins asked me if he should buy more crypto. he specifically asked for projects outside of bitcoin and the larger established names. i sent him $aave $hype $zec $jup and $ena he texted me again today and it made me go back to that conversation. looking at it now almost 8 months later is pretty interesting. hype was around $22 when i mentioned it. it eventually ran to $77 ath, and even at today's price it's still up roughly 160%+ zec also had a solid move and is still sitting above where it was back then. not every pick worked though. aave gave back a lot of its gains. jup is roughly flat to slightly negative, and ena has been the weakest performer i think lesson here wiuld be that you don't need every position to be a winner. if you spread your capital across high conviction ideas, sometimes one or two big winners are enough to carry the portfolio. that's also why i spend far more time looking for projects i really believe can become much bigger over the next few years and across different verticals than trying to chase every narrative. of course, none of this was guaranteed. these were the assets i personally had the highest conviction and saw good opportunity in at the time he asked.

btw this propr x $aster tournament is now live and it runs for one week. good luck.
there's an upcoming trading tournament on propr, and this time the rewards are in $aster. propr and aster collabed to launch this $10k trading competition and it's open to everyone. the good thing is you'll be trading with i think $50k demo funds, so you don't need to risk your own capital. the top 50 traders on the leaderboard get rewarded. >1st place gets $2,000 in aster >even if you finish between 36th and 50th, you still earn $60 in aster if you've been looking for a way to test your trading skills with zero financial risk, this is honestly a pretty good opportunity. i've already registered. you know i love these competitions even tho i haven't won any yet. anyway, the competition starts tomorrow (august 6), so you've still got a little time to get in. you can register with my link below if you'd like to join. > app.propr.xyz/r/95ijiMPH while you're there, also check out propr's funded challenge accounts ranging from $5k up to $100k if that's something you're interested in. see you on the leaderboard fam.

i'm not gonna tell you where to put your money, but these are currently my two favorite onyc vaults. after seeing what solstice did for their users, i think onre has a real chance of doing something similar, maybe even better. i mean I'm not a fan of how solstice handled some things, but the outcome for users was somehow still pretty solid. right now i think onre has a lot of attention, and there are quite a few ways to get exposure to both onre and onyc without burning yourself. personally i think the best places to farm it right now are exponent and loopscale. on exponent there are several incentivized onyc vaults paying really solid yields while you also earn onre points. these two are my favorites. >the onre growth vault gives you exposure to onre, exponent and loopscale at the same time. it's currently sitting around 15% apy (it fluctuates), and i think the lowest i've personally seen it go is around 12%. >the second one is the onyc liquidity vault. this one doesn't give you loopscale exposure, but you still get exposure to onre + exponent, and the biggest advantage is the 8x onre points boost and it prints really well when there'sgood activity. the growth vault only gives 4x, so you're essentially doubling your point multiplier in exchange for giving up the loopscale exposure. if your priority is maximizing onre points, i think this vault is hard to ignore.. its has the highest points boost i've seen. there are also a few other incentivized exponent vaults(check reward tab) this month sharing bonus $20k in rewards, so they're worth looking into as well. if you're more interested in yield instead, you can also check out the loop vault on loopscale. by looping your position (up to around 4x max), you can push your apy to roughly 20%, and also earn a 3x onre points boost. the trade off is that you won't be getting exponent exposure and + i mean you're kinda over leveraged there. if i had to focus on one project right now, it'd probably be onre. i'm currently sitting around top 1.9k on the leaderboard despite spreading capital across quite a few projects. to be honest if i had more capital available today, these are probably the vaults i'd be adding to.

relay is becoming less useful to me every day. it used to be my go to bridge to be honest. but now, almost every time i try to bridge funds with relay and compare the quotes against other bridges, it ends up giving me the worst rate. at this point the only real advantage it has is speed. it's usually instant, while some other bridges can take from 15 - 30 minutes for the same trxn. so if you're in a hurry, relay is still a solid option. but if you're trying to get the best quote, i think it's probably worth checking a few other bridges first before confirming the transaction.

i mean almost every decision i made in a hurry i ended up bad somehow so i don't mind that 15 mins wait time. although that's not always the case.. a lot of trxn are pretty instant could just depend on the chain.

i was watching one action movie recently and i just couldn't stop laughing at how weird most of these scenes are. i mean i know it's acting, but man.. some of the stuff just completely takes me out. like wtf are you guys even doing here i think that's one of the reasons action movies have never really been my thing. i'd rather watch a comedy or sitcom. or a mind bending thriller where i actually have to think and piece things together. but with a lot of action movies you could already predict how it's probably going to end. the hero somehow survives everything, the bad guy loses, and everyone goes home happy lol. then you have scenes where more than 10 people have a clear shot but somehow misses every single bullet. or they just point the gun and wait 900 years for the other guy to turn around and shot lol. i know it's entertainment, but it just makes it harder for me to stay in more than 3 minutes without switching to something else. its probably just me and im not dismissing all of it.. i just get tired most of the time. will always pick a sitcom, but unfortunaly they don't make a lot of good sitcoms anymore.

mistakenly closed all my open positions on variational 👍 some of those positions had been open for more than 2 weeks. good thing is most of them were in profit, so i didn't end up realizing much loss. my account was actually up 8% over the past 3 days. i mean, not the outcome i wanted, but oh well.. we go again.

i don't know bro, but i'm seeing a buy opportunity on $ethfi here. if i was taking this trade, i'd probably wait for a little reaction first before getting in. i'd keep my invalidation around 0.37 and target somewhere around 0.48 the only thing making me a little skeptical is the huge gap below. i think there's still a chance price sweeps lower to fill it before moving higher. because of that, i'd probably take it with a smaller size than usual. the rr is pretty solid.. around 1:4, which i think makes it worth it. well, we'll see how it plays out. but what do you think though?

in my opinion crypto isn't as complicated as people make it seem. if you're not an insider or you don't have an edge, i'd stay away from meme coins. you're competing with people who have faster information, and most cases know much more than you do. instead spend your time looking for startups you honestly believe could become something much bigger in a few years. dont just copy what influencers are saying. do your own research. i mean you could listen to other people's opinions, but use them to understand parts of the business you don't yet understand, not to replace your own thinking. once you find a project you have conviction in, there are so many ways to position yourself. you could buy the token, participate in a presale if you understand the risks. you could contribute to the project, could even join the team if your skills are valuable enough. if the product is already live, become an early user before everyone else discovers it. most importantly when people are panic selling, if i still believe in the business long term, i think thats when you should be slowly and paitently accumulating as much as you can. and when everyone starts saying "it's going to the moon" even after a huge run, that's usually when you should start taking some profits, not buying more. i mean it's not as easy as it's sounds but.. find good businesses > position early > accumulate when people are fearful or skeptical > take profits when people become euphoric. repeat.

i'll be very honest with you.. i can't wait for q4 this year and q1 2027. i think the best thing to do right now is to keep picking up as many gems as possible and keep positioning.
