Do you know the name Freddy Garcia? You should. He scored the goal that won the Crew our first trophy - the US Open Cup in 2002.
From a 9 minute video about his legacy on YouTube:

Current Columbus goalkeeper, Nico Hagen, was born in Guatemala City - less than 200 miles from Freddy’s birthplace.

That’s not totally true but the bigger point is if you understand it, it doesn’t mean you have to agree with it. It’s exhausting the constant chaos from the players on the ref and I’d argue it’s hurt them on the field especially post WCup.

You can tell a big part of the MLS crowd just doesn’t understand the gamesmanship that exists in soccer everywhere else. The little tricks, the dark arts, trying to gain any small advantage you can.
They want everything done perfectly by the rulebook. That’s just never been how this futbol works.
