It’s important not to lose sight of the end goal here. Yes, there will be plenty of fun along the way, and we’re already seeing that with memes x RWAs. But why are we bringing these assets onchain in the first place? We want financial markets to be more open, accessible and fair for everyone. For decades, the financial system has been a bit like a gated Disney World, primarily accessible to certain institutions and individuals depending on where they live, how much capital they have and who they can access. That’s starting to change. Tokenization gives us the opportunity to bring more of these markets onchain, remove unnecessary barriers, improve transparency and give more people access to financial products that were previously out of reach.
