My thesis on
$KNIGHT 🛡️
Knight is building an AI-native trust layer for cross-border finance.
Today financial trust is fragmented. Banking history, identity/KYC, business data and on-chain activity all live across different systems and jurisdictions.
Knight wants to connect those signals into a persistent trust layer that banks, fintechs and financial institutions can use for onboarding, compliance and risk decisions across borders.
This isn’t really a consumer crypto play.
It’s institutional SaaS infrastructure.
The team has traditional finance experience, including ex-JPMorgan talent, while founder Bernadette Pantaleon has built connections across both institutional finance and crypto.
They’ve already been selected for the inaugural Base APAC × Circuit cohort, became a FIN/SUM 2026 finalist in Japan, and have discussed early institutional/public-sector engagements.
But the narrative gets bigger with AI agents.
If agents eventually hold wallets, move money and interact autonomously with financial infrastructure, KYC alone isn’t enough.
Institutions need to know who authorized an agent, what it can do and whether its behaviour can be trusted.
Knight calls this Know Your Agent (KYA).
So the stack becomes:
Identity → KYC/KYB → on-chain activity → portable trust → AI-agent finance.
Stablecoins are making money borderless.
AI agents are making finance autonomous.
Knight is betting that trust becomes the missing infrastructure layer connecting it all.
Very early, and plenty still needs to be proven — especially how
$KNIGHT ultimately captures value from the underlying company.
But if Knight succeeds as institutional infrastructure, the opportunity extends far beyond crypto.
