neuroplasticity is powered by unearned confidence. act like you're guaranteed to succeed, and your brain will rewire itself just to keep up with your delusion.

Great piece. Only issue: "mercenaries" get rewarded tiny % of massively inflated equity at the bottom of pref stack with no liquidity in sight, expected to stay when they're deeply underwater & founders lie about the true valuation. Jason hasn't been an employee forever.

Maximize holiness in life. Do personally meaningful work, listen to your favorite music, consume or create art, have and nurture your child. Corollary: minimize whatever makes life feel less holy.

A very underrated health hack is cultivating an unwavering overly optimistic borderline arrogant and quite frankly delusional belief that absolutely NOTHING can ever break you and that you’ll be fine whatever comes your way because you’re destined to nothing less than GREATNESS.

Were you ever truly immersed in a thing? This is when we are most joyous, time cease to exist, future and past dissolve, problems fade. But then something happens.. The World asks us - how useful is what we are doing? The World tells us how pointless what we are doing is. The World tells us there are better things out there. Then the mind takes over. Thoughts emerge. “Maybe I am wasting my time.” “Maybe there are better things out there.” “Maybe I am missing out on opportunities” “Maybe I need to give to the World.” “Maybe I need a purpose.” Subsequently, we are removed from a complete moment of peace when we were immersed in the thing, into absolute terror, unrest and anxiety. Into the rat race. We do win, we get money, fame, accolades but something still deep down feels .. out of place. The next time you want to do something, if you see those thoughts emerge, remember that you are in the rat race. Perhaps consider breaking out of the race. Go through the desert, in the dark, and walk alone.
