Quick eye test for educators. 👀 Look at the banana. What colour do you see? If you said yellow or green, you're all good. Carry on. If you said red... congratulations. You've just identified the same issue many UK classrooms face: a curriculum that's "colourblind" to Black British history. It's not always intentional. It's just not being seen. And that's exactly the gap we're here to help close. At The Black Curriculum, we don't do token gestures or one-off assemblies in October. We work with teachers, schools, and Trusts throughout the year to embed Black British history into the curriculum through training, audits, and classroom-ready resources. So if you saw red, no judgement. Just book a service with us ➡️ theblackcurriculum.com/servi… #BlackHistory #TeacherCPD #AntiRacistEducation #TheBlackCurriculum #UKEducation #TeachingResources

This #MondayMotivation, we're reflecting on the words of Stuart Hall, one of the most influential thinkers on identity, culture, and the African diaspora. 🌍✨ Hall reminded us that identity is not fixed. It is shaped by our histories, communities, and experiences, while continuing to evolve with every generation. For those across the diaspora, our stories are rooted in where we've come from and strengthened by who we're becoming. This week, embrace every part of your journey. Your heritage is your foundation, but your future is still being written. 💛 #TBH365 #MondayMotivation #StuartHall #AfricanDiaspora #BlackHistory #TheBlackCurriculum

This #MondayMotivation, we're celebrating Tessa Sanderson CBE; an Olympic champion, trailblazer, and lifelong advocate for women and girls in sport. 🏆🔥 In 1984, Tessa became the first Black British woman to win an Olympic gold medal, taking javelin gold in Los Angeles and setting a new Olympic record with her very first throw. She went on to compete at six Olympic Games across two decades, a feat no other British woman has matched. But Tessa's legacy goes far beyond the podium. As President of Women in Sport, she's dedicated herself to breaking down the barriers she once faced, especially for Black girls, using her own journey to show what's possible when talent meets opportunity. "Sport has shaped my life and given me the self-belief and determination to succeed," she says. "I want every woman and girl to have the same opportunity to experience its rewards." This week, let's carry that same self-belief with us. Every barrier broken opens the door a little wider for the next person behind you. #TBH365 #MondayMotivation #TessaSanderson #WomenInSport #STEM #TheBlackCurriculum
