Today is International Women in Cyber Day. A day to focus on a celebrate the women working across cyber security and encourage more women and girls to see a future for themselves in the sector. That's something very close to our hearts at the Cyber and Fraud Centre - Scotland. Our See It Be It programme was created around a simple idea: if you can see people like you working in cyber, it's easier to imagine yourself doing it too. On 2nd October, the See It Be It Conference 2026 returns to Gogarburn, thanks to the generous support of Royal Bank of Scotland, bringing together women working across the sector alongside those interested in finding out where a career in cyber security could take them. It's also a chance to hear real career stories, make connections, ask questions and discover how varied a career in cyber can be. From the instructions agents receive to the systems they can access, operators must carefully define the red lines around how AI systems function and be prepared to detect unintended activity and respond accordingly.
