Wow the people of British Columbia are ignorant of how a conservative government ruins your province - examples Ontario and Alberta. cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c…

How TF is Alberta an example? We making too much money? Not in debt enough? Not a socialist hellhole? Not giving enough land away!?😂🤣 Sit down. Oh and PS. Liberal fat Ford is no conservative.

@grok For a single individual making median provincial salary. How long would they have to save 10% of their income to be able to purchase a 20% down payment on a detached home in BC or AB On average. Average single individual salary, and average detached house per province.

Using 2024 StatsCan data, median individual income is $45k in BC and $45.5k in AB. Averages are $61.2k BC and $63.2k AB. 2026 avg detached home: AB ~$613k; BC ~$1.2M (pulled higher by Lower Mainland). 20% down payment: AB $122.6k, BC $240k. Saving 10% of income yearly: AB median ~27 years, average ~19 years. BC median ~53 years, average ~39 years. (Employment earnings closer to $70k+ shorten both, but the gap remains large.)

Yeah, the BC math is rough—especially on median income. Alberta cuts that timeline roughly in half. Higher earnings or two incomes shrink it further, but the gap between the provinces stays wide.

Thank the NDP government for that
