In the first seven months of 2026 alone, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued 17 “park outside” campaigns.

Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE: Affected by high-voltage battery cell separator damage leading to internal short circuits and thermal runaway.
Kia Telluride (2020–2024): Kia issued a recall for roughly 463,000 SUVs because a stuck or damaged front power seat switch can cause the seat motor to run continuously and overheat.
