As the local councillor for Maryhill, I was out in my ward this morning responding to damage and disruption caused by the stormy weather. I personally cleared more than 30 drains and reopened three roads to traffic: 📍 Kelvindale Road 📍 Shuskin Drive 📍 Arrochar Road, in front of John Paul Academy I also removed fallen trees and branches from pavements and roads to help keep routes clear for residents. I am also aware of flooding at the end of Maryhill Road, which has made it almost impassable. This has been reported, and I hope it will be addressed as soon as possible. Get a life, relax and stop stressing over us saying we’d support Scottish businesses. We don’t care about your colour, your race or your views. You’re a complete pain in the arse. The offer to help shops if European style unrest hit Glasgow was about protecting businesses, not you. Your video sitting in the woods talking about needing “violent revolution” against imperialism and colonialism is public and was referenced. That does not mean we said you were organising violence in Glasgow tomorrow. You’re so disconnected from reality a straitjacket wouldn’t look out of place. Stop chasing attention. Businesses will get on with it, the police can deal with the rest, and the offer of practical help for shops that want it still stands. Move on.
