WHAT'S UP X: My name is David Kim. I'm 22 years old and from Portland, Oregon. College dropout. For the last 3 years, I have bootstrapped my business, and now I run an 8-figure company. On the side, I run an Airbnb company and just closed on two more houses! Currently, I am in NYC, meeting with other founders and investors, and seeing if this is a place I want to move to. Calling all NYC founders, Investors in the VC and Angel Investing world. Would love to get involved, and I want to take you out to dinner. Paying well for introductions and referrals.

If you casually flirt with every woman you meet and greet random guys with a “what’s up bro” energy, you'll go far in life. Everyone’s just a kid in an adult body. They want complements and connection. Be that guy and you’ll never be lonely or broke.

Oma London. 1 MICHELIN STAR. Located inside Borough Market. Can we start with the hummus and bread? Phenomenal. This was after we ate various foods at the market, such as the paella and oysters. The ceviche was acidic, light, and the sauce balanced the dish beautifully. The tartare melted in your mouth, and the chives on top added a phenomenal touch. Squid on skewers was a first for me. I was nervous that it would be chewy and not appetizing, but I was completely wrong. Smoky, light, soft, and elegant it melted in my mouth. This bone marrow orzo was to die for. Buttery, creamy, smooth, everyone was getting a little full at this time, but no, we had to keep going. The total bill was around $200 USD for my mom, my sister, and I. NOT BAD....

This is what we call culture. A beautiful Saturday morning at around 11:00 am. People were screaming, shouting, chanting, this is what it's all about. BOROUGH MARKET for you guys.

Does anyone have that friend who just drains your energy? You spend maybe 30 seconds with them, and you want to call them a uber home? The more important question to ask is: how do we become a ball of joy, someone who people LOVE BEING AROUND? It starts with smiling. A smile goes a long way. BE YOURSELF.... ASK questions and be thoroughly interested. Sharp eye contact, body posture, show that you care. DON'T TALK ABOUT YOURSELF. Bro, no one cares. Be attentive, respectful, wait for people to finish talking, and then intervene. GOODNIGHT FELLAS.

Ramen Tachihira SHIBUYA My favorite early morning spot. When there’s nothing to do but eat. I went at 5am. Kids still drinking and hammered slurping up noodles. Got a bowl of ramen and 5 piece gyoza for $11 USD. not the best ramen I’ve had but I think I’ve came here 12 times

People get pissed. When I say this, I have a lot of wealthy friends and I also have a lot of broke friends. Broke, friends often spend time watching a lot of sports, Netflix scrolling a lot, complaining a lot, consuming a lot of news, wealthy friends spend time working out, working on their business, working on their relationships, spending time with their families, their kids. I find that my wealthy friends only consume news that's relevant to their industry or the thing that they're passionate about. Broke friends consume news from every disaster ever, even if it's not relevant to them, everything going wrong and are really in that echo chamber of going wrong. Wealthy friends, they talk about their self development, concept of living and life. My broke friends talk a lot more about politics. My wealthy friends are very much in a victor. I am responsible for everything mentality. My broke friends are often really stuck in the victim mentality. It's a super interesting dichotomy. Another thing is I think a lot of broke people will talk about the past and a lot of wealthy people talk about the future.
an unpopular opinion that would put you in this situation.
