DMCC convened a private roundtable as part of its Future of Trade series alongside
#Gamescom2026 in Cologne, examining how financial infrastructure must evolve to support the next generation of global gaming studios.
DMCC’s Executive Chairman and CEO,
@AhmedBinSulayem, welcomed participants to the discussion on the changing economics of an industry where studios can build global teams, own valuable intellectual property and generate revenues across multiple markets from inception. Yet financing models have not always kept pace, with much of a gaming company’s value increasingly residing in IP, digital revenues, technology and global communities rather than conventional physical assets.
Moderated by DMCC’s Senior Director – Tech Ecosystems,
@Bjassoma, participants explored how new approaches to financing, digital payments, AI, regulation and cross-border market access could help address these gaps and enable studios to scale internationally.
Through the DMCC Gaming Centre, DMCC continues to build an ecosystem that connects gaming businesses with the finance, technology, partnerships and international markets they need to compete globally – strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading hub for the sector.
