Your one-stop shop for Luther Vandross, extended political metaphors, impending economic armageddon, and relentless optimism about West Indies cricket.
We've been drinking in the seats at Arsenal Women for over a season now. The only problem was when the Corinthians fans got stuck into the ball-boy behind Letícia's goal at the Champions Cup Final. Poor lad got pelted with half-empty pint pots, and had to be escorted to safety.
Wouldn't it make sense to give the whole of the England World Cup squad a rest during this international break, and give a chance to 27 lads who had their feet up during the summer. It's not as though the games mean anything, so why not put player welfare first for a change?
Imagine reacting to a real discussion about a real issue on the television by inventing an imaginary conversation inside your own house about what people aren't allowed to say any more.
Conversation in our house right now when someone says ‘black men’ on the TV when talking about prostate cancer.
“You can’t say black men, it’s people of colour”.
“You can’t say men at all, it’s ‘people with a prostate.’”

By the end of this season, we may reach the point when Tottenham's last league title is closer in history to Bobby Buckle's final game for the club than it is to the present day.
On the 144th anniversary of the Club's formation, we start at the very beginning for the first new inductee into our re-launched Hall of Fame - Tottenham Hotspur's Founder, Bobby Buckle 🤍

My main two thoughts on that Arsenal v Paris FC pre-season game are: (i) how fantastic it is to have Leah Williamson fully fit and back to her imperious best - just superb; and (ii) Melween N'Dongala looks like some player - I know we're not short at right back, but still.
You might like this for 'Everything you missed', @Jomboy_ - soccer's equivalent of the hidden ball trick. There's a long history of these goals (see football365.com/news/feature…) - but what makes this one notable is all the defenders desperately trying to warn the keeper in advance.
Our wonderful students have got their results and are enrolling to join our amazing Sixth Form! 📝✨
Thank you to students, parents, and staff for their dedication and effort that they have put towards these achievements 👏
On Wednesday, NAC Breda shared the tragic news that Mats Seuntjens and his partner had lost their newborn daughter. After the match last night, the club paid tribute, with fans of both teams lighting 18,000 sparklers.
What a beautiful idea to show support.
“I love Disneyland. It’s one of my favorite places. Disney was a big source of everything for me. I remember when Disneyland opened in Anaheim. I was thirteen years old. It was an amazing thing. I remember friends going there. It was like a whole other country inside America."
I wonder if all the pundits who wrote think-pieces about the death of Test Cricket in the West Indies based on one photo of one stand before the first Test vs Pakistan will be commenting on the healthy crowd that's in today for the second Test in Port of Spain.
Strangely, this story doesn't mention the 1,077 small boat arrivals in Liz Truss's first week as PM, or the 1,800 in Rishi Sunak's. It also says that there were only 35 arrivals in Boris Johnson's first week as PM in 2019, but omits to mention the 2,532 in his final week in 2022.
