I think people stop falling for the stock gimmick relatively soon. In no situation do I want added fees or friction purely so I can passively accumulate some random dogslop stock that I will just sell. I think protocols like @SinjohDeFi are actively perfecting optionally.

Robinhood is running a three-act play that is going to reshape finance: first put stocks onchain, then give them DeFi utility so they spread widely, then give holders real shareholder rights, including the vote. Act I: Wrap the stock. It began in Cannes. On June 30, 2025, Robinhood switched on more than 200 stock and ETF tokens for users across the EU and EEA. These were deliberately limited. They are structured as tokenized debt securities issued by a Jersey entity, so holders don't directly own the underlying shares and don't get voting rights. Act I was about economic exposure, not ownership. Tenev's stated conviction is broad: he has compared tokenization to an unstoppable freight train that will eventually eat the entire financial system. Act II: Build the venue and the distribution. Next came Robinhood's own chain. Robinhood Chain mainnet launched July 1, 2026, bringing tokenized stock trading to users in more than 120 countries. The DeFi side is starting to turn. This is the distribution engine. A share that can be lent, pooled, and airdropped reaches holders a traditional brokerage never could. By early September, Robinhood's tokens made up roughly 60% of tokenized equity transfer volume. Act III: Make the token the share. This is the hinge. The SEC's September 17 Innovation Exemption creates a five-year conditional pathway for tokenized US stocks to trade on blockchain venues, including through permissioned AMMs and liquidity pools, but it requires the tokens to carry the same rights as conventional shares, including dividends and voting. Groundwork for handling those rights onchain already exists: Robinhood and Superstate co-authored ERC-8056, a draft standard for onchain corporate actions. Taken together, the pieces point toward a clear endgame. When a globally distributed, DeFi-native holder base can vote by wallet, proxy voting stops being dominated by index funds and proxy advisors. Board seats become something retail coalitions, or DAO-style voting blocs, can actually attain. The apex meta of this cycle is focused on stock acquisition & board representation. I believe projects positioned to seize on this will win unlike any others. @SinjohDeFi will be at the center of it. 💫
