Starbucks pushed mobile ordering vs the cozy third place. McDonalds removed the play place and fun. We long for places to congregate that don't cost an arm and a leg or require a subscription. Over the last 5-8 yrs both of these places prioritized mobile ordering because they thought Americans just wanted their stuff and get in/out. The reality is they ignored the millions who stopped in outside the busy rush hours.
