On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Dallas Police responded to the 5600 block of Spring Valley Road regarding a report of a man calling for help outside an apartment complex. The first officer located the man in a creek nearby, and found that he was unresponsive. With the assistance of a passerby, the officer performed CPR until additional officers and Dallas Fire-Rescue paramedics were able to continue life-saving efforts and transport the man to the hospital in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, and is documented under case number 140064-2026.

Today, the Dallas Police Department honored fallen officer, Senior Corporal Harold Franklin Baird, Jr. #6004, with a ceremonial street topper at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Botham Jean Boulevard. On August 19, 2000, Senior Corporal Baird and his rookie officer were responding to an officer assist when their patrol vehicle was involved in a tragic collision. Senior Corporal Baird succumbed to injuries he sustained during the incident. Senior Corporal Baird was a dedicated public servant who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering the call to protect and serve the Dallas community. Chief Comeaux, members of the command staff and the Department, along with members of Senior Corporal Baird's family were in attendance for the unveiling.

Senior Corporal Arnulfo Pargas, #8001 - End of Watch: September 23, 2021 Senior Corporal Arnulfo Pargas died from complications as the result of contracting COVID-19 while working on patrol duty. Senior Corporal Pargas had served with the Dallas Police Department for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and two daughters

The Dallas Police Department now provides online public notice of Found, Abandoned and Unclaimed Property in accordance with Article 18.17 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. General information regarding Found, Abandoned and Unclaimed property will be posted below and will remain available for a minimum of 90 days. Unclaimed property will be disposed of after the 90-day notice period and may be sold or otherwise disposed of in accordance with Article 18.17 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.

****Critical Missing**** Florentino Medellin is described as an 86-year-old Hispanic male with grey hair and brown eyes. He is 5'7" tall and weighs approximately 170 lbs. Mr. Medellin was last seen on September 18, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., in the 2200 block of Riviera Drive., Dallas, TX. He was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt, blue jeans, black dress shoes, and a baseball cap. Mr. Medellin left the area on foot headed in an unknown direction. Dallas Police are asking for the public's help to locate Christopher Johnson. He is wanted for a shooting that occurred on June 27, 2026, in the 3900 block of Linfield Road that killed one person and injured another. Contact Det. C. Police Officer Victor Leon Morris, #212 - End of Watch: September 15, 1941 Officer Victor Morris was shot and killed with his own weapon while attempting to arrest a fare evader on a streetcar while off duty. The suspect had shoved Officer Morris' wife as they were in line and entered the streetcar on South St. Paul Street and Commerce Street. Officer Morris confronted the man, who then pulled out a knife. A struggle ensued and the suspect gained control of Officer Morris' handgun and shot him in the back. The suspect went directly to city hall and surrendered to other officers. Officer Morris had served with the Dallas Police Department for one year. He was survived by his wife, parents, and three sisters.

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Daryl Foreman. Mr. Foreman is described as a 61-year-old Black male with brown eyes, and black hair. He is 5’06” tall and weighs approximately 160 lbs. Mr. Foreman was last seen on September 11, 2026, at about 5p.m., in the 600 block of S Griffin Street. He was last seen wearing a blue Walmart cap, black shirt with super mario on the front, black slacks and blue tennis shoes. Mr. Foreman may be confused and in need of assistance.
