📧 KEEP YOUR RECRUITING EMAILS SHORT—BUT MAKE THEM COUNT.
College coaches don’t need your life story. Be succinct, descriptive, and give them the important information as quickly as possible.
And don’t overlook your subject line. A strong heading should immediately tell a coach who you are and why they should open the email. Then keep the body concise, make your video easy to find, and give them a reason to learn more about you.

Be yourself. Be confident. But above all else, be respectful.
I don’t care if you call your girlfriend “bro”—even though that’s a little strange 😂—but please DO NOT call a college coach “bro,” “dude,” or “man.”
Whether it’s an email, text, phone call, or face-to-face conversation, remember who you’re talking to. Coaches are evaluating more than your baseball ability. How you communicate tells them a lot about your maturity, personality, and whether you might fit their program.
