US elections ought to be called Surrender Season. It’s that time when the fragile green shoots of critical thinking and dissent are crushed underfoot, and everyone then ritually submits to the imperial consensus.

US elections under corporate uniparty conditions sustain the illusion of democracy. To vote is to choose to be deluded. When no one shows up to vote the 'elites' will not be able to make believe they rule through representation. Meanwhile resist & rebel. Otherwise no future.

Thomas Ferguson, Investment Theory of Politics. There is one party— the corporate party. It has two factions called Democrats and Republicans. Elections are occasions in which groups of investors coalesce and invest to control the state. youtu.be/qlYhXVG5O4I
