Did we forget the firefighters walking up the stairs everyone else was running down? The passengers on Flight 93 who chose to fight? The blood drive lines that wrapped around the block?
Neighbors who agreed on nothing, checking on each other anyway. A country that stood shoulder to shoulder, no red, no blue, just American.
You don't need a tragedy to show up for the people around you. We just have to choose it instead of waiting for the worst day of our lives to remind us.
