Lately I have been accused from a lot of people with extremist political opinions of being the opposite extreme of their individual political ideology. People who are extreme right-wing accuse me of being a far-left communist, and people who are are extreme left-wing accuse me of being a far right nazi. So I decided to do a Political Compass test to get a chart to clear things up for people. According to the chart, I am what I have claimed to be, a Left-leaning libertarian.

A friend took me for a drive in her Tesla today. The instant acceleration is incredible. I could literaly feel the blood shifting in my face from the G-force. The videos people post on Youtube of Tesla's acceleration are in no way exagerated, it's quite an experience.

I suspect that the technological singularity is probably going to happen a lot sooner than Ray Kurzweil predicted. In fact, perhaps it has already begun.
Breakthroughs and headlines have become SO extreme, Trillion $$, UFOs, AGI, Moon bases, Billions of Humanoid… that were being numb to the extraordinary!

I'm not sure I understand what the point of Anthony Albanese addressing the nation was just now. He had every single news broadcast in the country screen it live as though he had something urgent to say, but then he basically just told people to catch the bus and train whenever possible. He told us nothing. What was the point?

I agree with what Craig is saying here. I also strongly suspect that Jeffery Epstein is only one of many. I suspect that the powerful elites, especially those that engage in secret society activities such as Bohemian Grove, Melbourne Club, etc, probably have many Epstein like contacts who are deeply involved in the human trafficing industry and are more than happy to provide sex slaves (including minors) to these society and political elites.
When Stanley Kubrick made the film Eyes Wide Shut, I think that he was giving us a fictional yet nonetheless truthful honest glimpse of the kind of perverted secret depravity that the elite engage in behind closed doors.

The Epstein files make terrifying reading. Angering, depressing in equal measures.
A level of depravity, exploitation of innocent children, and callous manipulation and profiting from suffering of others that makes you despair for the world.
But it’s the collegiate nature of extreme wealth, power that is disturbing.
Despite the world knowing what Epstein was, when in their personal interests, there’s nothing off limits, no boundaries they’ll apply, and with so many files yet uncovered, no end to the ugliness.
And still, many perpetrator names are redacted while victims have been exposed.
The question is whether extreme wealth and power corrupts, or whether the corrupt rise to extreme wealth and power, because the moral compromise of decision making is such that good people choose otherwise?
Both, it seems.
And we know that many of those named are held up as standards to follow, as models of ‘success’ and lecture the world on morality, a cruel hoax.
The collective impunity, closing of ranks, failure to prosecute, lack of accountability of the powerful, different standards of justice and complicity of the system of power is the problem.
All of those directly implicated, who certainly all knew what Epstein was, yet continued to engage with him, must be held responsible. And not just them, but those around them who looked the other way.
And people everywhere need to consider what global organisation looks like in a world where this can’t happen.
With the global order exposed and in flux, and the world’s most powerful and most wealthy so clearly repugnant, change is necessary.
The point is not to expect better people, that is futile, but to create a better system.
And if it can’t be done to protect innocent children, there’s something wrong with all of us.

I agree. Most people probably aren't even aware that the Artemis 2 mission is happening. I don't think that I have seen a single mention about it in mainstream news at all.
Humans are returning to the Moon for the first time in 54 years in less than a month.

The Shah of Iran was deposed eight years before I was born. But for those that were alive in 1979 to see crowds of people in Tehran chanting "Death to the Shah", I imagine that they would probably have never expected to see huge crowds of people chanting in Tehran "Long live the Shah" within their lifetime. A lot of change and history can happen in just a few short decades.

It's sickening what happened today at Bondi, absolute evil. Innocent people were just enjoying their day and then they are murdered by two men who have allowed themselves to be filled with hate. Given the rise in anti-semitism in Australia over the past few years, I was scared that something like this might end up happening. This is where hate ultimately leads. People need to stop hating each other and start loving each other.

If you really want to help Australian filmmakers, what the Australian film industry needs is an Australian film aggregation service (like an Australian version of Filmhub or Quiver Digital) that will help Australian idependent film makers get their films distributed onto Australian streaming platforms. Having platforms like Netflix and Disney+ produce more of their own Australian productions is great, but there are a lot of film makers in Australia who are producing their films independently and are struggling to get their films seen by Australian audiences. By all means, have the major streaming services in Australia create more Australian content, but it would also be very useful if Screen Australia could also create an aggregation service (similar to what Filnhub offers in the United States) so that Australian indie filmmakers can also get their films distributed onto Australian owned streaming platforms like Stan, SBS on Demand, 10 Play, etc.
