007 FIRST LIGHT QUALITY MODE AT 60 FPS ON BASE PS5. IT'S TIME TO ASK SOME SERIOUS QUESTIONS. Please take a few minutes to read this post. Watch the attached video. And most importantly, think about what it means for the future of gaming. Today, I'm officially introducing my 007 First Light Quality Mode 60 FPS Patch, running on a standard PS5. Not a PS5 Pro. Not Performance Mode. QUALITY MODE. 60 FPS. BASE PS5. After countless hours of reverse engineering, technical investigation and testing, I've achieved something that raises serious questions about the restrictions imposed on the hardware we already own. During my analysis, I discovered that Quality Mode is artificially limited to 30 FPS through software. I managed to overcome that restriction, and my tests confirmed the results shown in the attached gameplay video. And that's where the real discussion begins. SONY, WHO ARE THESE LIMITATIONS REALLY FOR? We're constantly told that better performance requires better hardware. Want higher framerates while preserving visual quality? Buy a PS5 Pro. Spend around €700. But what happens when an independent developer demonstrates that a regular PS5 can go beyond an enforced software limit? Sony's ecosystem allows framerates to be artificially controlled. My work demonstrates why those restrictions deserve scrutiny. I prove Sony imposed this particular limit to sell more PS5 Pro consoles. But I absolutely question a system where the company selling you an upgrade also controls so much of what your existing hardware is allowed to deliver. Think about that. They sell you the problem. Then they sell you the solution. They convince you that what you already own isn't enough. And when you're ready to spend more money, there's always another product waiting for you. YOU THINK YOU'RE BUYING THE PRODUCT. BUT IN REALITY, YOU ARE THE PRODUCT. AND REMEMBER WHAT WE DID WITH WOLVERINE? This isn't where our ambition ends. We've already explored pushing the limits with our Wolverine 120 FPS work. And that raises an even bigger question. What if 120 FPS could become achievable in more games that currently restrict players to much lower framerates? Imagine what we could discover if we stopped treating every software-imposed limit as an absolute hardware limitation. Of course, not every game can be guaranteed to reach 120 FPS. Every engine and rendering workload is different. But that's exactly what I'm investigating right now. More games. More freedom. More performance. I’m absolutely shocked to hear about BioWare🥴

Fine, I'll fucking say it. I hope BioWare becomes the proverbial head on a stick. A warning to these big studios and corporations that they aren't untouchable. The bigger you are, the harder you fucking fall. I hope BioWare is the first of many of these so-called legendary studios to shut down. They've spent the last 15 years sitting on their asses, growing fat and complacent, living off the success of games they made decades ago. They've forgotten what it's like to be hungry. To actually have to put effort into their products, take risks, and compete with everyone else instead of coasting on a reputation they stopped deserving years ago. They're creatively and morally bankrupt, and they've spent years digging up and reanimating the corpses of their past successes because they have nothing left to offer. At some point, the bill has to come due. Let these studios crumble like houses of cards and make room for people who actually give a shit about making good games. And then, 30 years from now, my children and grandchildren can watch those same studios grow fat and complacent, pick up the torch, and fight this fucking battle all over again.

I'm not going to dehumanize the situation and be a prick about this but bro... You can't make games for .5% of the population and then wonder why no one buys your product. My advice to all dev teams and publishers is this... Get yourself out of your "progressive" bubbles and start hiring the people you hate. Straight. White. Male. Nerds. They made all the cool shit to begin with. Let them fix the industry. If you do this you will be rich again.
