We met on tour when you were, what, 14? Played one of your first shows at Cheers. Ate giant slices of bad pizza at that place across the street. Your voice was insane. I remember telling you that your new band, Shai Hulud, sounded like Outspoken, and I loved it. The next day, we hung out at Uncle Samβs for hours.
Those early tours and all the time we spent spinning our wheels in South Florida with the Brethren crew were something else. I was always the youngest one in the gang, but somehow you were even younger.
And this was all before you became a pop punk icon and sold millions of records with New Found Glory. You werenβt just a dreamer. You were an actualizer.
Rest easy, brother. Youβll be missed big time.
