I’m stating one side of what should be obvious. There is another side to the equation, and I’m fully aware of it.
Unlike
@darkside2030 , I’m not blinded by my disdain for Wall Street’s infectious behavior. I recognize the corruption and extraction mechanisms, but I also recognize the potential for those same mechanisms to be repurposed toward something fundamentally different.
I refuse to let contempt for the existing system dictate my conclusions.
We all make assumptions. The challenge is recognizing when our biases begin masquerading as certainty.
Wall Street will not rule the new system. Ironically, it may help build the very mechanisms that ultimately undermine its existing incentive structure.
Make no mistake, Wall Street wants control. It intends to capture, monetize, and dominate whatever comes next.
But what happens when its pursuit of profit accelerates the adoption of a system whose underlying rules it cannot control?
That is the paradox.
The question is how long it takes, how messy it gets, and how much damage is inflicted along the way.
Of course, there is another possible outcome…
And I’ve explored that too.
