Jason Brandon withdraws from 2026 WDF World Championship
2024 Lakeside semi-finalist Jason Brandon has had to withdraw from this year's showpiece event through injury.
'JB' had qualified by winning January's Las Vegas Open but recent complications in his recovery from tearing his achilles in April mean he'll be unable to compete next month.
Speaking on his withdrawal, Brandon said: "As much as it kills me to say it, I won't be at Lakeside this year because this injury means I won't be able to compete anywhere near my best.
"I wish all of the other players competing this year well - and I'll hopefully be back on the oche soon fighting to get back next year."
In line with WDF rules, Brandon's spot will be reallocated to the Lakeside race table.
