My favorite type of product is something we built for ourselves & use daily: For the past year, our team at Databento has been using a Unix timestamp converter that makes working with timestamps less annoying. Today, we're making it public: epoch.to It automatically detects 100+ input formats, handles exchange time zones, and is available via Chrome extension, open-source CLI, URL shortcut, or website. Hope it saves someone else a few headaches too.

How will AI reshape alpha signal research and development? Last Friday, our CEO, @christinaqi, moderated a debate with quantitative research leaders from Barclays and Deutsche Bank on whether AI will become the dominant approach to developing alpha signals. The panel took place at @cornell_tech's AI & Future of Finance Conference. Thanks @NVIDIA for having us at their HQ this week for their seminar on artificial intelligence and financial investment, co-hosted with BigQuant. Our CEO, @christinaqi, gave a keynote on the "Evolution of AI Infrastructure in Financial Markets," connecting recent advances in AI and ML with how trading firms are evolving their research infrastructure. The event also brought together over 20 leading quant hedge funds in China along with student teams from #Stanford, #MIT, #UCBerkeley, and other universities. Using MNQ data from @DatabentoHQ is a game changer. Historical QQQ data is a good placeholder but always test further on real data from the contract that your strategy will be traded on live. There might not be a big difference in results but always check first.
