I get very annoyed by everyone pandering to the young folk because "things are tough" for them. I could afford shit for most of my 20s either. Now at 31, I drive a 2024 Rav4, own my own home with a 75 inch TV and a podcast studio. I can afford to travel and all the streaming services I desire. It didn't happen over night. I busted my ass for years and still do. Someone needs to tell GenZ: the system isn't rigged. This is how your 20s go. Your 30s will be better if you bust your ass. Seriously. Stop begging for socialism. You don't need the government to take care of you. You just need a good work ethic.

It is a blessing they are even in the playoffs considering all the injuries they suffered during the season.
The Cubs will finish the season with under 90 wins.

Incredible to be here in St Mary’s in Peoria, IL - which houses the Tomb of Fulton Sheen It is where Fulton Sheen served as an altar boy and was ordained a priest in 1919

The more useful comparison is the previous midterm, of course. So far, North Carolina’s mail ballot figures are less favorable to Democrats than at this point in 2022. At 39 days out: -Democratic requests: down 40.3% -Republican requests: down 10.8% -Unaffiliated requests: down 21.2% -Accepted ballots overall: down 18.2% Democrats still dominate mail voting, but their registration share advantage over Republicans is 11.3 points smaller among requests and 5.2 points smaller among accepted ballots. That doesn’t prove weaker Democratic turnout overall. Voters can change when and how they vote, especially as things normalize from Covid era behavior. But the caution cuts both ways. These early mail figures don’t establish a Democratic turnout surge either.
North Carolina Early Mail Update 9/25: There are interesting patterns with the early mail in North Carolina, obviously at a small level. But if you followed me in 2024, that's what we do here. Rs have won returns from yesterday and shifted the margin 0.50% in their favor. With requests they also won but by just 0.03%. Same day comparison with requests has Rs in-between 2022 and 2024. But with returns, they are closing in on beating both years. Interestingly, Democrats are down in returns so far for both years. We will see if that continues.

Trump should come to Davenport, IA. The IA-01 race could use his help.

Someone tell her that the leaders she's pissed at can also vote. 150 million people can sit out an election and politicians will just vote themselves into office. Yes. When you're smoking pot this sounds like a brilliant idea.
What happens if we all come together and decide to not vote? The conversation changes. The ideas change. The system changes. The system responds to your attention. Your time. Your energy. There are more of us than there are of them. We have them in sheer numbers alone. They'll have no choice but to pivot.

The invasion of Iraq was 23 years ago. I'm 31. I was 8 when the invasion happened. If you are 35 years or younger you have no idea what a real US involved war is. By US standards, Iran is barely a war. You're upset about it? Fine! Be a B**ch and vote democrat.
The political bill for the war in Iran comes due in November. The war was never popular, and Republicans know it. It was always living on borrowed time. That’s why even candidates in red states are scrambling to denounce it before the loan gets called.

I remember my Econ 101 class in college. Professor taught the class how Reaganomics were a failure. He wrote stats on the board. Show us graphs. He didn't just sell it. He believed it. Thing is...the Reagan economy was a huge success. And all the Econ majors are taught lies.
I expected the Trump tariffs to be a disaster. I'm puzzled by what I'm not seeing. They don't seem to have harmed the US economy in any way I can notice with my eyeballs or in the statistics. Business activity is booming, unemployment seems to be low, household consumption is up, stock market seems to be doing fine. Is my whole model of trade and economics broken? How is he getting away with this?

NC early voting looks good for the GOP. Baris has obviously placed a bet on Republicans in North Carolina.
In case you guys aren't paying attention, this is what quitting looks like. I hope for the sake of the "Right" this isn't presented elsewhere, but despite what you might hear from FED accounts, North Carolina is looking atrocious too. Easily see how it becomes VA at this rate.

The Bombing campaign was too politically toxic in an election year. After November 3rd....Trump has 18 months to rain hell on Iran before the 2028 Conventions. I expect Trump to bring Iran to their knees after the midterms.
WSJ: President Trump expects the bombing of Iran to resume after the midterms and rejects Iran’s 7-day ceasefire proposal.

The way Republicans became a minority party was by nominating John McCain in 2008 and then following it up with Mitt Romney in 2012. Only appealed to people who wanted More Establishment politics. Shrunk the base. Republican party was totally dependent on Democrats not showing up in non-presidential elections. That was great for dinosaur conservatives like John Cornyn, of course. He had less competition for conservative dollars. Yeah, John Cornyn only needed 1.6 million votes to defeat his Democrat opponent in 2014. But how long was that going to last? Ted Cruz needed 4.1 million.
TX Senate: Johh Cornyn tells CNN’s Manu Raju he won’t help Paxton fundraise at all. “This is the way majority parties become minority parties — by nominating candidates that are less than appealing to a general election electorate.”

Nothing ignites Republican turnout more than a Trump rally. Their turnout models will be wrong. Remember the 2018 Howdy Modi Houston Rally? That Trump rally saved Ted Cruz. Deep-Red? More like Deep-Shit. For Democrats.

VA-3 is majority non-white and 43% black. Their turnout lags the next worst off for turnout by almost 30%. This is too early to draw definitive conclusions from but NC-1 is right down the road and not looking so hot for the turnout Dems need to hold that redrawn seat. If this manifests elsewhere it will doom them in key races in OH, TX, GA, to name a few.

Leave it to the SCOTUS to ruin all the fun.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court stayed lower court orders requiring Missouri to use its 2025 congressional map in November, allowing the state to continue using its 2022 map. The Court cited its earlier stay and concerns about changing election rules after voting has begun.

El-Sayed under performed his polling by 8+. Polling has been consistently off in the same direction for 12 years now (yes, including 2022, but that one was at least pretty close). Mike Rogers will win this. Stop falling for this.
🚨BREAKING: Mike Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed are tied with each other to win the Michigan Senate election. Michigan - 2026 Senate 🟥Mike Rogers 45% 🟦Abdul El-Sayed 45% See all MI Senate polls @Pollsmax. If Rogers wins this November, he would be the first Republican Michigander to be elected to the Senate since 1994. El-Sayed's polling numbers seem to be slipping, following his inconsistent comments on his economic policy, with regards to whether he was a capitalist or socialist. co/efficient (R) | September 23, 2026 | 843 LV

Democrats only run to Fox News when they are desperate. His internal polls must suck.
Ken Paxton keeps dodging debates. So I’m challenging him to a debate on Fox News — his safe space. I’ll go into the lion’s den. I know what I believe and I’m not afraid of hard questions. Ken has been running from accountability his whole life. It’s time to stop running.
