If you could hold only one stock (not an index fund or collection of stocks) for the next 10 years - what would it be?

I just found 10 euros on the street. I’m going to pay it forward - reply to this message and I’ll paste a code to use at any MbWay ATM in Portugal for the first person who is quick enough to go to one.

As Charlie Dawson says, for all the talk of how to create a great culture in an organisation, behaviours often come down to just two things: what you get praised for, and what you get told off for: cxstories.substack.com/p/the…

How much should we accommodate feelings based on unfounded fears? Airborne peanut allergens aren't really a thing, yet people still ask you not to eat peanuts on planes. Some people believe phone radiation makes them ill, though there's no evidence it does. Should you put away your peanuts or your phone for them? Is it courtesy, or feeding irrational fears

Paris vs Lisbon: I went to Paris (and Reims for the Champagne Half Marathon) expecting stuffy, snobby Parisians. I was wrong. What stood out vs Lisbon/Cascais: +Bakeries, butchers and greengrocers treat their shop windows like works of art. +Far more cyclists. +Much less graffiti and dog poo (my two biggest gripes about living in Portugal). +No tangle of wires on every building. +English was better than I expected, though Lisbon still wins. +Downside: lots of shops shut at the weekend and slow to open on Monday. Paris, I owe you an apology.

In adults with ADHD, melatonin (your body's "time for bed" signal) kicks in about 90 minutes later than in adults without it. At 11pm, your brain may genuinely think it's 9:30.

It's why I can do a week's work in one hyper focused evening, but can't start a simple task when there's no pressure.

What helps me: converting “Not Now” into “Now”. Break the big thing into a number small step with today's date as a deadline . It’s not "renew my passport". Just "find where my passport actually is".

Today is the day of St Francis - the patron saint of animals. Here in Cascais, the local church blesses any animals that come along to mass, so we popped in on our morning walk:

Is there any country in Europe that does good BBQ? Why is it only USA, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay that do decent BBQ or am I missing something?
