Had a ton of fun competing in the first live event for CFB25! @EASPORTSCollege To finally just get a live event win is a pretty big accomplishment and this Heisman House Honorary Key signed by Reggie Bush is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen given out in a tourney. Thank you to everyone that brought back CFB25 and allowing for there to be a competitive scene in year 1! Can’t wait for what Competitive Gaming for CFB has coming!

@MisterCiv @YoungHexied @Dcroft shout out these dudes. Been rocking their defense all year and this new match is legit. As a father of 2 I don't have time to digest the game even though I understand it. I've been 75% in H2H and close to knocking out an event for the first time.

Evo This, Evo That. EA just dropped 22.25 Million coins worth of cards in the past 24 hours. I cannot keep up. Let's band together and get opportunity packs out of this game. #ReduceLTDCost

For My Match People. I'm currently running Quarters Box vs Bunch Wide Nasty. (Side note been messing around with Point Triangle vs Bunch looks) TBD on how I'd implement both. I'm running the same offensive concept with 0 changes on Offense or Defense but the 3 Rec changes who he believes is the first in breaking route? Shouldn't logically the 3 rec consistently guard the same first in breaking route on the same offensive concept? Regardless of which one he SHOULD guard, why do I not get the same result? Nothing has changed on Offense or Defense. I'm usering the inside quarter on the Iso to "Poach" any crossing/post route from the bunch side Also just a slight (lol) look at how delayed the Quarter Flat is to realize the drag is his responsibly.

If I've learned one thing about Madden the past week. People really don't understand what competitive Madden is/How competitive Madden works. I hope one day that gap gets bridge.

The one thing I don’t understand about all these match takes is that it plays for you. Is match not the… ultimate lab defense? Sure you can potentially get lucky and guess the right match for the play that someone is calling. I’ve also viewed it entirely differently than man coverage.

MCS ladder days aren’t for the weak. I click onto discord and there’s 500+ new messages. I check Twitter and Jonbeast is 40 tweets deep arguing. Meanwhile Henry is just showing clips of his loving GF playing tourney games as he’s already up 2 scores

I saw someone talking about how rough cloud flats are in this game and ironically I was recording a video today on it. (@GoatGeezy) The reason why I believe Match is REALLY GOOD, is it does a much better job at defending the short sideline. At this current point in time you CANNOT use a Curl Flat Cloud Flat Hard Flat You MUST use and understand how Quarter Flats work to take away the sideline.

Day 1 Ladders Recap For Dcroft Thought I was playing some pretty good defense in a game, I liked how I was playing. I then looked at the scoreboard and it said I gave up 59 points and I gave up the NFL record in passing yards at 568. Thought it was a visual bug at first but then my opponent reported he scored 59 points. I am nothing without contain blitzing and I'm in my acceptance era.

If you are an offensive player and you untarget a defensive player. Should that player come in on a free rush OR Should the offensive line still have the ability to pick him up
80% Untarget = Free Rusher
20% O-Line Blocks Untarget

Dcroft was the #2 player in the world in Madden 20. What was his main Defense? Match. The same defense led him to a huge run in Madden 21 as well Super respect to anyone who’s been teaching match the past few years Finally, it’s good (and more importantly, simple) again.

Best Match Coverages In Madden 27 1. Cover 4 Quarters 2. Cover 2 3. Cover 4 Palms 4. Cover 9 5. Cover 6 I can't say at this point in time I've really utilized a ton of the cover 3 matches

I've been playing Comp for 7 years... Match has always been "meh" at best. Maybe good against specific things but that's it. I loved it in Madden 20, thought Palms was the best defense. But it was never really "meta" didn't see many people ever run it on the comp scene This year is the best I've ever seen it. Match is GOOD Cover 2 Match and Cover 4 Quarters is the best IMO.

Was grinding some late night CFB27 to get a video up for today. Offense: Colorado (@MisterCiv) Offense Primarily Tight Used Revamp Passing Small Pass Lead, 11/20 Reticle Speed Defense: Memphis Running a lot of single mug/dime Opened Natty Packs for the first time in a week or so. (Most insane natty packs I've ever had) Pulled 2 LTDs made well over a mil.

6 Biggest Takeaways From The $200,000 GameTime Live Event. Offense: 1. 5 WR Tight/Doubles Clamp Is Meta. 2. Your redzone is the reason why you'll win or lose a game. 3. Elite players consistently put 5 routes on the field instead of 4. Defense: 1. Learn how to run match (Cover 4 Quarters, Cover 2) 2. Have 2 double or nothings. I don't believe anyone had a different AP setup. 3. Don't blitz.

I was very curious about how the BEST defensive players in the world would look in the MCS Gametime Live Event. Average PPG: 35.79! Average Blitz Calls Per Game Per Player: 2.64 (Specifically referring to send 5 or more) - Decided to track this for myself to see what I should personally be expecting to score and how my blitz rates should look. - You shouldn't be allowed to average 36! Yes 36 points per game vs the best defensive players in the world. - Blitzing is too hard right now, Under 3 blitz calls a game per player. Insanity. We're talking the greatest defensive minds struggling to find effective blitzes. (Henry you looked great though) you're right about no point of ever trying to blitz with the way sheds are. - Lastly, I hope this data portrays my problems that I have had with defense. Blitzing is too hard because empty. Defensive Zone/Coverage is below par. Add 91 Zone. Game 1 - Henry 33 Points - Jon 29 Points - Henry Blitzed 3 Times - Jon Beast Blitzed 0 Times Game 2 - Noah 47 Points - Chosen 35 Points - Noah Blitzed 0 Times - Chosen Blitzed 1 Time Game 3 - Wesley 35 - Drini 30 - Wesley Blitzed 0 Times - Drini Blitzed 6 Times (Would blitz 6 on 5) Game 4 (I didn't get to watch this game in great depth. The data is probably slightly skewed but I did see Astro blitz. I'll put it at 7 bc that feels generous and probably around where it was) - Sebatron 34 - Astro 28 - Sebatron Blitzed 0 - Astro Blitzed 7 Times (from 6-1) tried to create overloads 5 on 5 Game 5 - Sebatron 43 - Noah 42 Noah Blitzed 3 Times Sebatron Blitzed 0 Times Game 6 - Chosen 50 - Jon 37 - Jon Blitzed 0 Times - Chosen Blitzed 0 Times Game 7 - Astro 31 - Drini 27 - Drini Blitzed 8 Times - Astro Blitzed 9 Times

GAMETIME MCS Game 3 Breakdown! Drini vs Astro. REMATCH OF THE MADDEN BOWL 26 FINALS Drini Offense Doubles Clamp - Continued to use a lot of motion. - I can't describe it but Drini has a way of making offense look really simple. He does a good job with play calling where he's almost always in controllable 3rd/4th down situations. Won't do anything fancy if nothing fancy is needed. -Looked really clean start to finish in this game. Defense Nickel 2-4 - He really did blitz more than I thought he would. If you look at the general madden rankings Drini/Henry/Dez are pretty much universally considered top 3 defensive players. - Great redzone defense. Lots of stops happen down there and winning down there is crucial. - Looks like the pressure that he did have really only worked when Astro has his bunch flipped one way. For people that don't know there's so many "blitzes" that just won't work on 1 side of the field Astro Offense Chiefs - Many consider Astro to have been the best offensive player at the end of Madden 26, he decided to go back to his main offensive playbook that he had success in last year. (Dez/4PF/David/Astro all IMO were the 4 best offensive players last year) - Astro doesn't view offense very similarly to the rest of the community IMO. He's great at finding Meta formations in unique playbooks and having a super fast playstyle that fits him. - Really good stickwork, had some great visions on runs that helped him a ton. - Utilized flip routes. - Used Deion at QB and had a QB zone for his redzone. - His drive before half I think is a great example of what Astro is as a player. Probably the most explosive offensive player in the comp scene. Defense 6-1 Even and 2-4. - Labs with Henry so assuming they had both liked 2-4 - Assumed that he felt more comfortable in 6-1 (he's ran this defense for years) and wanted to mix it in. - Looked like Astro desperatly wanted to get pressure on Drini. Went to 6-1 really quickly and tried sending 5 a couple of times. Looked really good and more comfortable in this defense. Final Score Astro 31 Drini 27
