Everyone’s talking about the Midnight comics but I’m more concerned that the rebel cowboy Jonah Hex is back. I’m more impressed by Walsh’s art than Griffin’s dialogue here. It’s a decent, very quick first issue compared to what Gray and Palmiotti did for 100+ anthology issues.

Hilariously embarrassing. A laughable twist reveal, one of the worst needle drops I’ve ever heard, and one of the most unintentionally funny lines in a superhero product. “He died a hero” and he just got shot by a female cop. He died for nothing.

The whole show felt like a humiliation ritual for both Hal Jordan and John Stewart. It did feel like the Indiana Jones South Park episode. Two children’s cartoon characters humiliated for 8 hours. It doesn’t help they did it to one of DC’s few black characters of importance.
