The Purdy line was pure sarcasm. One late-round QB success does not mean 7th-round picks are a reliable path to consistently good QBs. Same logic applies here: Titans won via defense and special teams despite Cam Ward’s 102 passing yards and anemic offense. That one ugly win is not proof the formula works week after week.
