What I’ve noticed about AI generated websites (not saying they’re good or bad):
- They tend to explain the interface too much. Repetitive eyebrows, unnecessary descriptions, long titles. I think when you prompt for an intuitive interface, it assumes that means overcommunicating.
- It takes one small requirement and makes it the website’s whole personality.
- It exaggerates animations. It doesn’t really know what subtle feels like, or when motion is needed. Sometimes it’s just a feeling, and I don’t think you can fully prompt for that.
- If it were a drink, it wouldn’t go down well. I don’t know exactly how to explain this one further. The individual parts can look fine, but the whole thing doesn’t feel smooth.
- It doesn’t know when to visualise data and when to just hint at it.
I think a lot of this comes down to judgment. Knowing what to leave out, what to turn down, and when to stop.
