This would force an impossible choice.Most of SA's big businesses are already BEE compliant because it's a domestic legal&commercial necessity.If the US forces companies to choose, it won't just hit executives it will severely disrupt SA’s entire export economy& corporate sector.
If your company is BEE compliant, you may soon lose access to the US market.
The punishment is not reserved for the minister only. The CEO. The transformation officer. The director who signed the policy.
While South Africa rewards compliance, America may punish it.
Private companies will have to choose which market matters more.
