They're being Tories again...
Imagine if clubs had to do their own TV deals the gap between the red cartel and the rest in tv revenue would be massive. We're the ones who have been held back

I know people get all "but muh freedoms" about stuff like this but social media is a cancer and we probably should be looking to protect the youth from it. It's too late for us, might not be for them.
๐Ÿšจ NEW: The Government will introduce โ€œhard checksโ€ to enforce its under-16s social media ban, such as passport and credit checks

I have to admit, find this Vini Jr. conspiracy very funny. Imagine playing so badly people think you've been replaced by a doppleganger. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This is sensational tbf
You know that feeling when you book a flight for 50 quid and somehow it ends up costing 100? Getting seats together, correcting a typo, another charge here and there, it all adds up. When the cost of living is already squeezing people, those endless extras can feel relentless. So we're changing the rules for you. Parents won't need to pay a penny extra just to sit next to their own children. You'll be able to fix any name errors on your booking free of charge. And because the last thing you want once you're on the plane is more stress, we're working with the industry to make sure that disruptive passengers who have been banned from one airline can be banned from flying with other airlines too. I know holidays are expensive and these are small things, but hopefully they'll make your trip just that little bit cheaper and easier. That's exactly the kind of thing I want this government to keep on fixing.

Keep seeing the clubs wanting to protect the league from owner funding holding up Bournemouth as an example... guys you might want to google Maxim Demin and the millions he pumped into Bournemouth to get them up the leagues. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yeah we all need to fight back, if we want the Liverpool/Arsenal/Man Utd hegemony rather than the ManCity/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal/ManUtd Hegemony. Real football fans only want Liverpool/Arsenal/Man Utd.

Pep's Wikipedia Page is going to have less 'Honors' than mine by the time all these cases are done.

Every crest has a story. Ours is forged by our cityโ€™s history, fuelled by our ambition, and drives us into our future. We are proud to introduce the new club crest chosen by our supporters to represent Newcastle United. The new crest will be used from today and will be put in place progressively across physical signage and digital and broadcast platforms over the coming months. It will be in place on our kits for the 2027/28 season.

It is not, though, really, is it? If they see a commercial dip without Manchester City bringing in stars, they could loosen the restrictions on Villa, Newcastle, and Chelsea and replace the star power almost overnight.
Excl: execs from 2 top clubs tell me theyโ€™d be โ€œstaggered if there were 15 clubs ready to expel #mcfc Premier League, calling it โ€œcommercial suicideโ€. Expulsion one possible punishment that independent commission could consider, but if clubs voted against such a decision - what, if any, punishment would City get?

Guys actually want the PL to simply be a โ€œwho has the most commercial partnersโ€ competition And somehow think that would make the league more egalitarian

It's a fair point but at the same time shines a light on what the rules are. You're not going to gain as many fans as Man Utd without being succesful 1st. So what is football for everyone else. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ "Just make more money" But also "Did you really think you could make more money?"
Genuine question what did you believe was happening with the revenue numbers did you think you gained more fans than man united?

Good time to revist this... Even your favourite Manchester club was 'bankrolled' at one point. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
Well today I've learnt that Man Utd bought their existence in 1902 when local brewer John Davies bailed out a bankeupt Newton Heath, then bought their success by bankrolling their 1st title in 1908. The original sugar daddy. "Did it the right way" indeed. Makes you think ๐Ÿค”
