Tbh, Thiruchitrambalam had a horrible ending. It's like Thiru exhausted all possible options around him & finally settled for Shobana. The reason it worked as a film was cuz Dhanush, Nithya and Prakash Raj were incredible & the father-son subplot was a 10/10.
Might sound like a stupid comparison, but genuinely asking. If seeing two childhood friends kiss is what makes it βdisgustingβ, why didnβt the same logic come up with #Thiruchitrambalam . There too, friendship eventually turned romantic.

Replies to this show that media literacy is down the gutter. Someone is comparing him with Yamini who was a victim of physical & emotional abuse cuz her husband turned into a bitter alcoholic. Muthu on the other hand is barely out of college & is as much of a victim as Murudhu.

I understand the larger point here but Rishikanth isn't exactly your average guy. His built (broad shoulders & tall frame), smile & hairstyle play a major part in his appeal. Fact that he's a good actor also helps. π
I don't get this Rishikanth hate at all just because women are simping him, he looks like your avg guy next door.
We should be happy that expectations are realistic and achievable instead we project our own insecurities and hate on women, fcking clowns!

It's funny how Dhanush is the only mainstream actor who had the guts to appreciate the film yet he was incessantly trolled for it. For all his flaws, he's like one of the only mainstream actors who appreciates craft without caring about his 'image'.
Still waiting for @rajinikanth and @ikamalhaasanβs reviews on #Dorothy. Would give the film some much needed mileage and hopefully be an eye opener for boomers to hit the theatres at least.

My two cents on the ongoing Carlos v Jannik debate: I have no issues with ppl rating Carlos above Jannik. Peak for peak, given Carlos' play style & record in five setters, I can see why his peak is rated higher. My issue is actually with the use of the word 'healthy'.

Because this presumes that Carlos only loses when he isn't healthy & the seven times Jannik has won, it was only because Carlos was compromised in some way. For one, no player plays at his peak level in every match & every set. Your level is also impacted by your opponent's form.
