Been hearing some pretty interesting things about a small AI research team experimenting with post-training Qwen 3.8 27B. Apparently their post-hoc GQA → MLA conversion, which reportedly reduces KV-cache memory requirements by up to 8.4x without additional training

Some of the most interesting agent results this year are coming out of post-trains of small open models. A new RL post-train Qwen3.8-27B model trained with an open-source environments cuts the hallucination rate on AA-Omniscience from 30.4% to 15.1%. the compressed copy of the mla version fits on my single 24 GB RTX 4090 and holds about 3.5x more context than base Qwen. It beats GPT 6 Luna-medium on DeepSWE, placing in between Luna 6 medium and high. scores higher on Terminal-Bench 2.1 while writing a median 23.8K output tokens per solved task, where base Qwen writes 54.9K. Tried an unreleased version of this model, and really felt the comparative intelligent density, that it writes a lot less. tops Muse Glimmer 30B and OpenAI’s GPT-6 Luna (high) on Terminal-Bench, τ³-bench, ClawEval and BFCL v4 (Berkeley Function Calling Leaderboard), though Luna still wins DeepSWE at 53.1%. They also released an MLA version, which is the same model with its 16 full-attention layers converted to multi-head latent attention, which shrinks the memory each token takes from 64 KiB to 18 KiB so far more or longer sessions fit on one GPU.

A small team just took a 27B open model and cut its hallucinations in half. Built on Qwen, trained only on open-source environments, and it beats GPT-6 Luna on Terminal-Bench. It also writes half the words to get the job done. Their second version runs 7 long agent sessions at once on a single gaming card. Free. Apache 2.0. Yours to run. This is how local AI wins. I have been saying it for years, but I am a nerd.

A busy dad asked me how he could make money online without quitting his job. I told him to stop everything and start selling $19 PDFs using AI. He made $60k in a year doing it. Here’s the killer method:

Introducing Hugo: the first human companion robot. At Boston Dynamics, I was Chief Strategy Officer, bringing robots into the real world. My co-founder, Farbod Farshidian, led research at the RAI Institute. Together, 15+ years teaching robots to run, jump, and work. So we asked: what if robots could connect with people? Hugo runs on the first Vision-Language-Expression (VLE) model. He links what he sees and hears to movement, expression, and gesture. He notices you, reads the room, and reacts in real time. And he's only the first. Dynamic Creatures is @BostonDynamics' official entertainment and hospitality partner. We're building a cast of characters with film studios, resorts, and theme parks. dynamiccreatures.com

ok this is actually cool. AI can build a whole app now but still can’t properly count monkeys in a shaky phone video. @ElorianAI is a new lab working on exactly this kind of problem. The team behind it led Gemini and Apple’s MM-1 before this. Their first model is out today and I’m definitely giving it a try.
Spent years watching models ace a single image and completely whiff on anything that moves or changes angle. Today we’re fixing that. Try Glimpse now, our first visual thinking model with competitive frontier performance compared to Astra on key public visual reasoning benchmarks.

I genuinely thought I'd missed Dreamina's $1.50 Basic offer, but it's somehow still live. 👀 That gives you a full month to explore different concepts, make social content, and actually learn the Seedance workflow. Unexpected bonus round, I guess. dreamina.capcut.com/ai-tool/… #Dreamina #DreaminaPartner

AI video has so many strong options now with Seedance 2.0 and Kling, so I wanted to see if Vidu’s Q series could still keep up. I gave Vidu Q4 Preview one reference image and a pretty chaotic prompt: two martial artists fighting in a dark warehouse, with flying kicks, crates breaking and dust everywhere. Then I put it side by side with Kling 3.0. What stood out to me was how readable the whole fight stayed on Vidu. The light beams, the dust and both fighters held together, even when the crates exploded. What’s new in Vidu Q4 Preview: → Up to 15 reference images → Up to 3 audio references → 2K and 4K output → Starts at $0.014/second I made mine in 4K, and at that price I can keep trying new ideas without thinking twice. Give Vidu Q4 Preview a try and drop what you make below 👇🏼 #ViduQ4Preview #ad #ViduAI
